Its diameter is 120mm, while its height is 213mm all this in a fairly minimalist design in black that reminds us of the Mac Pro of Apple of the previous generation.
Inside we find a powerful dual core and four wire processor capable of managing processes at a speed of 880MHz in combination of a memory of 128MB. It also has support from double band, combining the traditional 2.4GHz band with the 5GHz band to achieve a promised 2100Mbps.
Its coverage antennas are arranged inside, covering a total angle of 360º. This improves coverage in any direction, also offering a wide range for the 2.4GHz band of up to 100 meters. For its part, 5GHz band supports 4 × 4 MU-MIMO technology, thus allowing simultaneous communication with several devices wirelessly.
To make matters worse, Xiaomi Mi Router AC2100 has Beam Forming, a new technology capable of automatically detecting the location of connected devices in order to intensify the signal in the direction of each of these.
In its external part we find two status LEDs in blue / marine water, as well as a rear switch with a total of 4 Gigabit sockets. Notably This router is neutral type So you do not have a modem with which to convert an input signal of type ADSL / Fiber.
Price and availability
This new Xiaomi Mi Router AC2100 will go on sale next September 20 starting at a price of just 229 yuan, some 30 euros to change ($ 25).
